1 · Entity map
MLB is first. Everything else is either work or a separate face.
- MLB Marketing LLC — first company. Agency, copy desk, commerce lane, client builds, this site.
- Portfolio brands & clients under the MLB public wall — Rent Ruby, Gillis Institute, Silverback AI, Chigbula Law, JBruno Unit, Undefeated Solar, Peter Welch boxing shop, Fly By Night / Discreet as they ship.
- NorCal CARB LLC — separate operating company MLB built. Has its own CARB Babies (local sites). Not co-branded on the MLB lifestyle/client wall.
2 · Three desks inside MLB
Copy · Commerce (Boston) · Service builds
- Copy department — Writes blogs and launches for portfolio firms. Publishes on their domains. Spotlights + case studies on MLB with outbound links (backlinks + proof + calls).
- Commerce · Boston energy — Shops and merch. Flagship: shop.mlbmarketingllc.com → Pages project
peter-welch-boxing (Peter Welch’s Gym / Southie Tough). Stripe and product updates live there.
- Service builds — Sites, SEO, AI fundamentals, incorporation playbooks, accounting setup — “from the field to the founder.” Static sites get ongoing content so they don’t die after launch day.
3 · Public work wall (who we show)
These brands may appear together on mlbmarketingllc.com/work
- rent-ruby.com
- gillisinstituteofai.com
- silverbackai.agency
- chigbulaws.com
- jbruno-unit.com
- undefeatedsolar.com (client)
- shop.mlbmarketingllc.com (commerce)
- Fly By Night / Discreet and other client ships
Each card links out. MLB is the magazine; they are the cover stories.
4 · NorCal rule (non-negotiable)
Write for CARB sites. Do not “see them with” the portfolio wall.
Copy can still be produced by MLB and published on NorCal / CARB Baby domains for local
service SEO. The pipe is fine. The public association is not: no NorCal card
next to JBruno, Silverback, Rent Ruby, solar, or the gym shop on the work wall.
Do
Canonical posts on CARB URLs. Quiet production credit. Clean NAP for the service brand.
Don’t
Family-photo portfolio mashup. Shared “our brands” footers that mix clothing + Clean Truck Check.
5 · Content & backlink engine
How MLB gains calls and static sites get fresh love
- On brand site: real post (launch, product, local service, case story).
- On MLB: short spotlight or case study with 2–5 contextual links to that brand.
- On /work: permanent card for discovery and sales conversations.
- Cadence example: one solid spotlight per brand per month beats a dump of empty pages.
- Anchors descriptive; deep links when they help; no duplicate full articles on every domain.
6 · SEO ownership
Hub ranks for the firm. Spokes rank for the money keywords.
- mlbmarketingllc.com — agency, founder services, copy, builds, growth engineered, /goal vision, /work proof.
- Each brand domain — its products, services, local queries, shop collections.
- shop.mlbmarketingllc.com — gym merch / commerce (subdomain of MLB; shop content lives there).
- Optional client footer: “Site by MLB Marketing LLC” — natural, light, not a scheme.
7 · Product surface area (this site)
What ships on mlbmarketingllc.com
- / — Home: Red Sox–inspired navy/red, Oakland building, three desks, work preview, athlete CTA.
- /services/ — Field-to-founder offer (incorporation, web, AI, accounting).
- /work/ — Full public portfolio wall + copy-desk method.
- /goal/ — This page. Complete vision. Source of truth for humans and agents.
- /about/ — Who we are, HQ, desks.
- /contact/ — Consultation path (email + form).
- Header logo — Simple “MLB” inside a home-plate outline. Every page.
8 · Commerce subdomain
shop.mlbmarketingllc.com → peter-welch-boxing
Public URL for now: shop.mlbmarketingllc.com until the client approves a boxing. subdomain.
- Separate Pages project so shop deploys never overwrite the agency site.
- Future product/Stripe updates go to that project only.
- Linked from home, work, goal, and contact — always as commerce, not as NorCal.
9 · Platform
Cloudflare Pages is home base
- Domain mlbmarketingllc.com on project
mlbmarketingllc.
- Squarespace can close; content and vision live here.
- Source on disk:
~/mlbmarketing-site/.
- Navy
#0C2340 + Sox red #BD3039 + cream — inspired by Boston baseball colors, not an official MLB/Red Sox trademark.
